Complimentary Technologies

EEST is entering the “Green” world at a perfect time because its three primary products, the highly efficient water purification plant and the electric power generation plant that can be fuelled by biomass or a combination of “waste” combustibles, operate at the heart of the “green” arena – clean water, renewable energy, clean air, economically and environmentally sustainable.

The EEST electric power and JWS water purification plants are well suited to work together in a variety of settings. A closed circuit is capable of being achieved where biomass, coal waste or methane is used to power the HCGT plant that in turn provides electricity to the JWS that would clean up contaminated water and provide the necessary “pure” water to the electricity plant. Typical settings would be community waste facilities, large agricultural installations, food processing and coal mining.

The JWS/ HCGT package provides for the possibility of the increased utilization of Ventilation Air Methane (VAM) and/or additional solid colliery wastes in producing a useful and needed product; pure water. In achieving the above, methane that would otherwise be an environment hazard is used to produce clean fresh water.

JWS and HCGT are two very complementary technologies. The extraction of steam from the HCGT to assist in the desalination of water in JWS makes good technical and economic sense. Generating electrical energy and cleaning fresh water streams will identify the JWS/HCGT combination as Benchmark technologies, establishing an industry best practice.

The environmental outcomes from such operations are deemed to be highly beneficial for the general community and meet acceptance by government agencies.

When the HCGT is integrated with HTC Purenergy’s Carbon Capture System the combined unit can capture CO2 from power stations and other industrial flue gases, delivering a commercial ready, cost effective solution for the capture of CO2 for enhanced oil recovery and / or sequestration.

EESTech complementary technology in its Hybrid Coal Gas Turbine (“HCGT”) system can produce electricity utilising waste coal, methane and biomass and can be integrated to become the world's first stand-alone hybrid CO2 capture system that is non-disruptive to industrial emitter plants.

The integration of both technologies has been independently validated as cost effective climate change technologies, When the HCGT and CCS systems are combined they become the world's first stand-alone Hybrid CCS System. The combined efficiencies of the HCGT and CCS Systems will set a new industry benchmark by reducing the cost of carbon capture and sequestration by up to 40%.
